Ahvery Thomas, Esq.,

Of counsel

Ahvery Thomas is from the small collegiate town of Grambling, Louisiana.  Ms. Thomas is a proud graduate of Grambling State University.  Here, she was elected Miss Grambling State University, 2009-2010.  Ms. Thomas is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Ms. Thomas graduated from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration.  She then worked for a Fortune 500 company, J.P. Morgan Chase in the Quality Analysis Department.  Ms. Thomas left her employment once she was accepted into law school at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  After graduating from law school and passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, Ms. Thomas started a career in Sports Law as the Director of Compliance at Southern University, Baton Rouge campus.  Ms. Thomas continued her legal career in Lafayette Parish where she became a Children's Advocate in "Child In Need of Care" matters.  Ms. Thomas is certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Ms. Thomas consults on matters concerning Title IX and DEI at Southern University Law Center.

Ms. Thomas is admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state courts.

 

In her free time, Ms. Thomas enjoys volunteering to help impoverished communities and mentoring youth.  Ms. Thomas also enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
